During the beginning of all the Covid-19 Madness I decided to take a two day trip up to Mohave. I had heard that they were all over beds and the bite was on fire! So we packed up the truck and headed out there to see for ourselves. When we got there we saw a few small cruisers but its seemed like the 1st wave of these spawners were done and they had moved out. We caught a few smaller males on beds and then decided to look deeper for some big ones. Once I started throwing in about 12-16ft it was on! We were crushing them on Arizona Custom Baits 6inch strait tails and Zman finesse TRD’s. We had about 22lbs for our best 5 on day one with all of them being Smallies except one 5lb LM.
