Catch em for the kids!
FishIn48 is excited to have our 4th Annual Lifted Trucks Charity Derby coming up right around the corner. We will be raising money for the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Valley once again and we need you the anglers to make it a success. Last year we had around 50 boats which was half the turn out of our previous years due to the pandemic, but it was also our most successful year as far as money raised for the kids. We have raised over $30,000 to date for The Boys and Girls Club of the Valley and would love to beat last years record. This year we have some new partners we are excited about that will make for another great raffle. This year will be a two day tournament, October 29th-30th. The top 50% of the field after day 1 will advance to fish day 2. Each team will consist of two anglers that will bring their 5 biggest fish to the scales with their biggest fish being weighed if they choose to do so. During day 1 weigh ins we will have The Q Bar on hand to grill burgers and dogs for the anglers and get everyone fed after a long day on the water. We will also be selling raffle tickets the morning of and at the weigh in and will do the raffle once Day 1 weigh ins are over. The prize for 1st place will be $20,000 contingent on 100 boats in the field. Last years winners Shane Edgar and Ethan Ryan walked away with $9,000 on just under 50 boats. The grand prize for the raffle will once again be a trip to Baccarac Lake to fish for giant bass with Pro Bass Adventures. The trip is a trip of a lifetime and you definitely will want to go every year once you go for the first time.
With this event being a great event for the anglers the main mission is to help the kids. For thousands of Valley kids, the Boys & Girls Club is a safe refuge where they can learn, play, grow, and develop the skills to become a strong, resilient adult. Your participation ensures quality services and life-changing programs for kids in need. Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley’s innovative, fun, proven programs are designed to empower young people to excel in school, develop character and leadership skills, lead healthy lives enriched by experiences in the arts, and prepare for post-secondary education and a career.
